I visited Daily maverick website, the website has home page, sections (Wired world, South Africa, Africa, Business, World, Sports, and Life), Opinionistas, Imaverick, and Newsletter. The advantage of Daily Maverick is if you are subscribe to this site, they send you emails everyday updating you about what is going on. The other good thing about the site is that they keep in touch with their readers through face book and Twitter.
The disadvantage of this site is that they don’t have a blog and video. Their readers get informed only by reading not by watching a video. The good thing about the site is that the write long article and they give readers more information because many politicians recommend this site as one of the best.

The site has a home page and under news section there is the following segments; Home, South Africa, Africa and World. It also have Sport, Business, Entertainment, Life style, Travel, Food, Sci-Tech, Opinion, Bloggs and ITimes. The advantage of this site is that it has Face book, Twitter and Video. They inform their readers through various social networks. It is an advantage to use Times Live as a news site because it has a link to view videos which they upload constantly and also some of the journalists have linked their blogs with the site so readers can read more news from the Blogs of the journalists
It has iLIVE which allows readers to share their opinions by sending emails to the iLIVE team and also on every story readers can comment on the story on the comment box. Readers can share the story from the site to Facebook and Twitter.

IOL.co.za (Independent Online) publishes national and international newspapers. It is an online site for Independent Newspapers which includes newspapers such as a The Star newspaper, Pretoria News .
IOL news site has Home page, it has genres such as Crime/ Courts, Politics, South Africa, Africa, World, Opinion, Back Page, Special Features. IOL lacks multimedia such as links to YouTube which people can see videos of the stories covered. It has Facebook link were readers can like the page so they can get instant updates from the site, it’s an advantage for people who are able to access the site. The site doesn’t have blogs for at least one of its journalist so people can only read what the editor wrote on the columns and other columnist.
